Cyril Drevet is a television host and journalist. He was most notable for his work on the Télévisator 2 broadcasts on France 2 and the Turbo broadcast on M6. 

Cyril, a video game enthusiast, first hosted a weekly meeting discussing video games in the program Matin Bonheur before being approached by Pierre Valls, editor-in-chief of the Amstrad 100% magazine, to participate in a new magazine: Player One.

He then adopts the alias “Shrimp”. The television presenter is the son of Patrice Drevet, a French two animator and weather presenter.

The television presenter hosted Télévisator 2 on France 2 for a year and a half in March 1993. Following that, he hosted a Video Games portion on TF1 every Wednesday morning throughout the 1994/95 season in Club Dorothée.

He then had a video game and manga segment on the TMC Monte Carlo channel’s Récré kids show until 2001. Following the publisher’s insolvency, Player One magazine ceased publication shortly after.

From December 2009 to May 2011, he also co-hosted a column on Gameblog called Versus l’mission with Alain Huyghues-Lacour (alias AHL) and began a one-off program called Backstage in June 2011, still on Gameblog, revealing behind the scenes of the video game world.

He left Gameblog in April 2017 in solidarity with Julien Chièze, who was eventually fired as editor-in-chief.

What Is Wrong With Television Presenter Cyril Drevet Eye?

Cyril Drevet has keratoconus, a condition that affects the eyes. This happens when the cornea begins to expand outward, producing distortion in the shape and vision of the eye.

Keratoconus symptoms include hazy vision, double vision, light sensitivity, frequent corrective lens changes, and difficulties seeing at night.

A cone-shaped pattern in the eye during a slit lamp examination is another sign. Keratoconus can cause severe vision impairment if left untreated.

The cornea thins and becomes unevenly shaped due to this eye condition. This makes focusing difficult for the eye and can result in various symptoms, such as blurred vision, glare, double vision, and impaired vision.

In severe situations, the cornea can become so thin that it swells and becomes increasingly sensitive to light, resulting in a condition known as corneal hydrops. Cyril Drevet’s case is critical, and he is seeking therapy for his ailment.
