Della Pascoe, a British sprinter who competed in the Olympics, passed away at the age of 74.

She attended the 1968 Mexico Olympics at just 19, representing the London Olympics, and competed in the 100-meter semifinals.
However, she tied Dorothy Hyman’s 11.3 hand-timed UK 100m record during the quarterfinal.
She also participated in a team that set a world mark in the 4x200m that same year, clocking 1:33.8 with teammates Maureen Tranter, Janet Simpson, and Val Peat.
She was one of the greatest sprinters in Britain at the time, with personal bests in the 100 and 200 meters of 11.36 and 23.5, and she went on to compete for England at the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.

Though she placed first in the 100-meter and 200-meter events at the trials, she was controversially left off the team for the 1974 Commonwealth Games in 1973.
