Well, Anna was welcomed into this world by her half-Russian, half-Japanese mother, Ai Oizumi Shay, and her American businessman dad, Edward Shay.
Her father was the owner of Pacific Architects and Engineers, a global defense contractor. He founded this private defense company in 1955, and the business’s clients consisted of countries like the U.S. and the U.K.
Unfortunately, Anna’s dad, Edward Shay, who hailed from Chicago’s south side, passed away in 1995, leaving behind his loving family. Furthermore, after her father’s death, Shay was raised solely by her mom alongside her siblings.
Sadly, Anna’s mom, Ai-San, who was Russian and Japanese, passed away in 2015, 20 years after Anna’s dad Edward passed away.
