Struggle Jennings is the step-grandson of Waylon Jennings. They are not father and son. However, the young musician once disclosed that Waylon was a father figure in his life.
Struggle Jennings was born on 31 May 1980 to his mother, Jennifer Eddy, who is the daughter of country musician Jessi Colter and rock guitarist Duane Eddy.
Waylon Jennings married Struggle’s grandmother, Jessi Colter, in 1969.

The skilled musician collaborated with rapper JellyRoll, who is also his longtime friend, on a trilogy of Waylon & Willie albums from 2017 to 2018.
The album’s title paid homage to his step-grandpa, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.
