Jon Rahm is a professional golfer from Spain who has been playing professionally since 2016. He competes in PGA Tour and European Tour. 

In June 2021, Rahm became the first Spanish golfer to win the U.S. Open. On April 9, 2023, he completed a comeback on the final day to succeed in his second major and his first Master’ title. 

Rahm carded a three-under 69 to complete on 12 under and win by four shots as Brooks Koepka, who led by two going into the final round, signed for a 75.

Following his win, fans are concerned about his health condition as he once battled an illness which we’ve discussed below in depth.

Jon Rahm has faced some issues in his life, and once he also battled a stomach illness. On March 2023, he withdrew from The Players Championship due to illness, leaving the strongest field of the year without its No. 1 player.

Rahm was due to play with second-ranked Scottie Scheffler and third-ranked Rory McIlroy in the second round. Unfortunately, Rahm pulled out some 30 minutes before his tee time with what his manager described as a bad stomach bug.

So he couldn’t play in that event. It’s been a month, and golf fans are eager to know about Rahm’s health update.

Jon Rahm Health Update: Is The Golfer Still Sick?

As per the recent health update, Jon Rahm is fine and seems to have recovered from his stomach illness. Jon and his officials have not shared anything about his illness and have also released a statement.

When he was withdrawn from The Players Championship, it was just said that Rahm had a stomach illness. So, now, Rahm is back in action, which makes it clear that his health is in perfect condition.

Rahm just won his first Masters title; before that, he shared a post on Instagram. Rahm shared a series of photos from the Augusta National Golf Club, writing, “Practice almost done; Ready to get going this week – vamos.”

This shows Rahm was excited about his comeback and gave his best by winning the Masters 2023.

Jon Rahm Tested COVID-19 Positive in 2021

As mentioned earlier, Jon Rahm has faced some problems in his career due to health issues. Besides his stomach illness, Rahm had previously tested for the COVID-19 virus.

In June 2021, he was forced to withdraw as the defending champion from the Memorial Tournament due to the virus. At the withdrawal time, Rahm had completed the third round with a six-stroke lead.

In July of the same year, after a tie for the third finish at the Open Championship, Jon prepared to travel to Tokyo to train for a competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics. 

While taking his third and final COVID-19 test before departing, the golfer tested positive again, forcing him to withdraw. Due to that, Jorge Campillo replaced Rahm in the field. So, he mainly had health issues in 2021.
