Lola’s stepdad, Kyle Bevan, pushed her from the staircase and brutally injured her. She later passed away in the hospital from a “catastrophic” head injury.

Bevan reportedly told police that Lola’s injuries were brought on by the family dog, an American bulldog named Jessie, pushing her down the stairs, according to testimony given at Swansea Crown Court.
The claim, according to the prosecution, was a “deliberate lie to conceal his guilt.”

In July 2020, Kyle Bevan killed Lola James while they were alone. Meanwhile, Sinead James, Lola’s mother, was convicted of causing or permitting her daughter to die.
Before killing Lola, Bevan had resided in the Haverfordwest family home for about four months. He used narcotics like Xanax, amphetamines, and cannabis, and the court learned that he also had an explosive temper.
What’s worse is that Lola’s step-dad, Kyle Bevan from Aberystwyth, west Wales, subjected the little girl to the assault between the evening of July 16th and the morning of July 17th, 2020, when he was alone with her.
After the verdicts, Lola’s biological father, Daniel Thomas, released a statement saying his daughter: “The anguish and grief I feel every time I shut my eyes and behold your precious little face is overwhelming.
The hurt you experienced and the hurt I carry inside will never go away, regardless of what happens here.”
