Late WNBA star Tiffany Jackson Parents, Marques Jackson and Cassie Brooks supported her unconditionally and believed in her while she was pursuing her professional basketball career.

Tiffany Jackson was a former professional basketball player who played in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) from 2007 to 2014.

She attended Duncanville High School before playing college basketball at the University of Texas at Austin.

Jackson excelled as a student-athlete at Texas and won numerous accolades, including the Big 12 Conference Rookie of the Year title in 2004 and a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team in 2007.

She also competed for the USA Women’s U21 World Cup Team in 2005, which took home the gold.

After her college career, Tiffany was selected by the New York Liberty in the first round of the 2007 WNBA Draft.

She went on to play for the Liberty, the San Antonio Stars, and the Tulsa Shock (now the Dallas Wings) during her professional career. She retired from professional basketball in 2015.

Tiffany Jackson was welcomed into this world on April 26, 1985, in Longview, Texas, U.S. by extremely loving and supportive parents.

The late WNBA star’s parents, Marques Jackson and Cassie Brooks, always loved and supported her unconditionally.

While her mom, Cassie had played basketball for the University of New Mexico, her dad, Marques had been a tight end at the University of Tulsa. 

Furthermore, her social worker and coach, father and her probation officer, mother always believed and supported in her dreams.

Tiffany Jackson Death Cause: She Died At The Age Of 37

Tiffany Jackson, a former professional basketball player in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 37, after a battle with breast cancer.

She was a beloved figure in the basketball community and her passing was deeply felt by her friends, family, and fans.

After discovering she had cancer, Jackson was able to return to the court and play one more season with Los Angeles in 2017 before calling it quits at the age of 32. She spent two seasons as a Longhorns assistant coach.

Tiffany was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She was hired as head coach at Wiley College in April 2022.

After her death, several fans, former teammates, and former coaches on social media paid their respects to Jackson.

Jackson’s death was a shock to the entire women’s basketball community and a big loss.

Likewise, Tiffany Jackson’s accomplishments as a basketball player, her contributions to the community through her philanthropy work, and the positive impact she had on the lives of those around her will always be remembered.

She will be missed by many, and her legacy will continue to inspire others.

A Look At Tiffany Jackson Professional Achievements

Tiffany Jackson was a highly accomplished professional basketball player who had an impressive career both in college and in the WNBA.

She was named the Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Year in 2004 while playing for the University of Texas at Austin. Likewise, Tiffany was named to the All-Big 12 First Team in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

The Late WNBA Star also a gold medal as a member of the USA Women’s U21 World Championship Team in 2005

In addition to her basketball accomplishments, Jackson also founded the Tiffany Jackson Academy, a basketball and life skills academy for young girls in the San Antonio area.

She was widely respected in the basketball community and was known for her tenacity, hard work, and leadership on and off the court.
