Natasha Lyonne is a name that requires no introduction. The New York City native starred, co-created, produced, and wrote the Netflix series “Russian Doll.”
Before that, she garnered considerable fame after portraying Nicky Nichols in “Orange Is the New Black.” She earned an Emmy Award nomination for her work in the series.
Since making her feature film debut in 1986, the beautiful Actress has worked in numerous other movies and series. American Pie, Slums of Beverly Hills, and Big Mouth are some of her famous works.

Natasha Lyonne Rhab & Drug Addiction: How Is She Doing Now?
The Orange is the New Black star, Lyonne, had severe issues with drugs and alcohol.
Thanks to her work in American Pie, But I’m a Cheerleader, Natasha was on a promising path in the late 1990s. However, her drug-alcohol addiction and legal issues derailed it.

Every step of her downhill slide was documented by tabloids and blogs, which also joyfully published her mug shot. Police officers arrested Natasha for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and for events involving her neighbors.
It was just the beginning of her addiction battle. In 2004, she faced charges of harassment, trespassing, and mischief. However, 2005 marked the Actress’ low point. Following complaints from other tenants, her landlord, Actor Michael Rapaport, evicted her.
She was admitted to Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan for her health issues, including hepatitis C, a heart infection and a collapsed lung in the same year. She nearly died that year.
Not only that but the Russian Doll star also underwent methadone treatment for heroin addiction that year. She missed a court date about her earlier legal issues, and a warrant was issued in January 2006 for her arrest.
The American Pie star’s attorney informed her of an emergency that occurred but provided no further information. Later that year, Lyonne entered a facility for alcohol and drug rehabilitation, and she later showed up in court.
The artist also received a conditional discharge from the court.
Chloe Sevigny Believed In Natasha Lyonne When She Could Not
Many people turned their backs when Natasha was in the deepest throes of her addiction. As the quote of Walter Winchell goes by, “A real friend walks in when the rest walks out.”
Likewise, her best friend, Chloe Sevigny, never gave up on her and stood by her side. Sevigny disclosed that it was hard not to stand by and help.
The Big Love star added that she tried to forgive her friend because she wasn’t in her right mind. Sevigny helped Natasha with her recovery, and she made it.
Natasha Lyonne Returned To Acting And Is Sober Now
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in March 2012, Natasha Lyonny said she was as good as dead. Lyonne didn’t think she would ever get back into acting amid her self-destruction.
As a result, she didn’t care. She continued that when people fall into their deepest, a whole other world emerges, making the showbiz industry the dumbest venture on the planet.
Fortunately, Lyonne doesn’t hold her past against herself too much. In an interview with The Guardian, she questioned whether or not everyone was entitled to have an existential crisis once in a lifetime.
“Adulthood is coming to terms with treating oneself kindly when self-destruction would be a much more natural and quick reaction to life,” Natasha said.
