For allegedly being complicit in the death of South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, better known by his stage name AKA, who passed away on Friday, February 10, many Tweeps blame late Anele “Nelli” Tempe’s parents.
Nelli Tembe Parents: Who Are They?
Nelli Tembe was born to her parents, Moses Tembe and Lulu Tembe.
Moses Tembe, her Father, is a well-known businessman in Durban. He oversees the Mazibuye Foundation and the International Conference Centre and is co-chairman of the KZN Growth Coalition.
The information about her mother, Lulu, is yet to be revealed.
Nelli passed away in April 2021 after apparently falling to her death from the Pepperclub Hotel on Cape Town’s 10th floor. Her death’s circumstances were being looked into.

Tembe said to TshisaLIVE at the time that the family had decided not to contemplate about the results of the Police investigation. Tembe reaffirmed his claim that his daughter was not suicidal in the statement he read at her funeral in Durban.
Nelli Tembe Fiance AKA Dies
On February 10, the South African rapper AKA was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in Florida Road, Durban. On the spot, Durban Police verified the rapper’s passing.
The Fela in Versace singer was reportedly shot from two unidentified vehicles outside Wish Restaurant at around 22:00. According to the publication, AKA was struck six times.
When AKA was killed, he was not alone; Tebello Tibz Motsoane, another friend, was shot and killed. The bodyguard for the rapper had suffered injuries.
This happened just under two years after the former engagement of the rapper and Nelli Tembe passed away. On April 11, 2021, in the wee hours of the morning, Nelli fell from the 10th floor of the Pepper Club Hotel which is located in Cape Town.
Nelli Tembe Father Moses Statement On AKA Death
On Saturday, Anele “Nelli” Tembe’s Father, Moses Tembe, expressed that the family was grieved and outraged by his horrific murder. In a statement, the well-known businessman expressed their profound shock at learning of Kiernan’s passing.
Tembe acknowledged that as a parent, he felt profound sorrow for Forbes’ parents, Tony and Lynn, his daughter Kairo, and the more prominent family.
He claimed that Kiernan had extraordinary musical talent and that his songs had significantly enriched South Africa’s musical heritage. They sent their condolences to his fans and his extended family. Tembe urged people to be kind and to give the family time, space, and respect on all media.
Nelli Tembe Mother Lulu
According to a relative of Nelli, the young woman’s mother, Lulu Msomi Tembe, passed away in a similar manner.
She continued by saying that she had called the two miserable souls and that they were being mourned by the Msomi family (the mother’s). She had said they were very unhappy souls who left almost the same way.
