RIP: Gareth Richards: He Died Battling With A Brain Injury

After a terrible vehicle accident, comedian Gareth Richards passed away at 41.

According to a statement from Richard’s wife, Laura, the married Father of two who co-hosted on Absolute Radio with Frank Skinner, suffered severe brain injuries in the incident.

Richards passed away around 6.30 pm on Friday after spending two weeks in the hospital. His wife praised the “incredible” physicians and nurses who cared for him.

It occurs one week after Skinner, 66, sobbed on life while informing listeners that Richards was in a coma and clinging to life.

“It is with great sadness that I must share that Gareth died on Friday, April 7 (Good Friday) at 6.30 pm,” the message said.

Frank Skinner notified listeners on his Saturday radio show that Gareth Richards, a friend, and previous co-host, is in critical condition following a car accident.

The 66-year-old comedian and presenter Richards sobbed as he revealed he was engaged in a “massive traffic accident” on Monday.

The catastrophic collision between a lorry and two cars on the M25 near Heathrow Airport between Junctions 14 and 15 is believed to have involved Richards.

This accident resulted in the closure of the freeway for more than 10 hours.

According to the SurreyLive website, after firefighters freed him from his car using a saw, a man had his head and chest treated by the London ambulance service before being taken to a major trauma center.
