Tariq was born into the Lamptey family, which research indicates are likely Muslims with a lineage that can be traced back to Northern Ghana in West Africa.

“Morning Star” means the Arabic Muslim name “Tariq.” The football player with Ghanaian ancestry was the second son and son of his lovely parents, shown here.

Tariq did not come from a wealthy or affluent household. His Father and mother were typical working-class individuals in Greater London who supported their family with their regular income.

The family of Tariq Lamptey’s parents consisted of only males; there were no females.

The football player, who also serves as the family’s primary provider, grew up with his three brothers: an older brother and two younger brothers.

Greater London’s Hillingdon is where Lamptey was born. Before enrolling in the Chelsea academy at eight, he was a youth football player for his neighborhood team, Larkspur Rovers.

On December 29, 2019, Lamptey made his Premier League debut for Chelsea against Arsenal on the road.

Lamptey came on for Fikayo Tomori in the 59th minute and was energetic as Chelsea returned from a goal down to win 2-1.

After the game, Lamptey expressed his anxiety about making his debut on Chelsea TV, saying, “My heart was racing; this is the moment my family and I have been waiting for.”

Lamptey joined Mason Mount, Billy Gilmour, Reece James, Marc Guéhi, Tino Anjorin, and Ian Maatsen as Chelsea academy graduates to make an appearance in the first team while under Frank Lampard’s management.

Before departing Chelsea, Lamptey made two more appearances in the FA Cup victories over Nottingham Forest at home and Hull City away.

Why Did Tariq Lamptey Play For Ghana Instead Of England In The World Cup 2022?

The London-born Brighton wing-back advanced through the Chelsea academy at an early age.

While still playing for the Blues, he first caught England’s notice, and the FA pushed rapidly to get him into the international lineup.

The 23-year-old made 20 appearances for England’s youth teams before moving to Brighton, and it appeared that a senior call-up was only a matter of time.

Lamptey made a big impression during the 2020–21 Campaign thanks to his lightning-quick pace and great vision for a cross.

Although England has many players in his position, Lamptey was a unique talent on the fast track to the top.

Unfortunately, a hamstring injury that season prevented the defender from playing more than 11 times in the Premier League.

Lamptey was hindered by the injury and even missed the beginning of last season, after which Graham Potter primarily used him as a bench player.

Although England was still eager to secure his place on the international stage, the player was eligible to represent Ghana thanks to his father, Ahmed.

To persuade Lamptey to switch teams, the Ghanaian FA enlisted former Brighton manager Chris Hughton.

When the 23-year-old requested that the Under-21s not choose him for the European Championship qualifiers in June, rumours about him grew.

The Brighton player reportedly traveled to Ghana in May to meet with coaches and officials to decide his future as an international player.

He asserted that he was just on vacation and seeing friends and family: “I just came back for a holiday.” I came to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and visit with some long-distance family and friends.

When the switch was finally made public, Lamptey chose to represent Ghana rather than England.

He probably rejected the Three Lions for various reasons, but the prospect of playing for the first team must have been one among them.

Despite his struggles to regain his best form, Lamptey is still a young man and should have a successful international career.

He received his first call-up in September and made his international debut in a 3-0 loss to Brazil.

However, he played 80 minutes in a 2-0 victory over Switzerland, and he appears destined for a significant position with the Black Stars.

Although there are plenty of right-backs available, England may later regret losing Lamptey to Ghana.
