Prince Yadav, UP Man Kills Ex Girlfriend Aradhana Prajapati, Arrest And Charges

Prince Yadav, an Indian man from UP, has been arrested for the brutal murder and dismemberment of his ex-girlfriend Aradhana Prajapati.

Azamgarh Police claim they have solved the mystery of the horrific killing of Aradhana, whose chopped body pieces were found in a well.

The accused, Prince Yadav, claimed Aradhana had “betrayed him” because she married someone earlier this year despite being his lover.

Officials stated that Prince Yadav had been arrested for killing a woman whose mutilated body was found in a well. He was detained on Saturday (November 19).

The disturbing incident came to light on November 15 after some locals discovered the body inside a well located outside Paschimi village.

Yadav was shot in a gunfire encounter by the Police when he was taken to a spot to recover the slain woman’s head. He was injured in the leg and taken to the hospital.

According to Police, Yadav had hidden a country-made pistol at the location and used it against them, trying to flee from their custody.

The incident comes in the wake of another similar episode in Delhi, where a 28-year-old man allegedly strangled his live-in girlfriend and sawed her body into 35 pieces.

He kept those remains in a 300-liter fridge at his residence for three weeks before dumping them across the city over many days.

Who Was Aradhana Prajapati? What Happened To Her?

Aradhana Prajapati, who was in her 20s, lived in Ishaqpur village of Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her Father, Kedar, and brother, Sunil, have identified her body.

The body of the lady, who was later identified as Aradhana Prajapati, was found in a semi-naked condition and appeared to be two to three days old, Azamgarh Police Superintendent Anurag Arya said.

The victim reportedly had an affair with Prince Yadav for the past two years and continued seeing him despite marrying another person in February.

Yadav had gone to a Gulf country to earn money when the marriage happened. After he returned to India, he pressured Aradhana into breaking her marriage, but she was unwilling to do so.

Yadav planned to kill Aradhana with the help of his parents, cousin Sarvesh, and other family members, including uncles and aunts, out of resentment because she married someone else and not him.

On November 9, Yadav convinced Aradhana to go to a nearby temple on his motorbike. Upon reaching there, with the help of Sarvesh, he strangled her in a sugarcane field.

It is unclear where the strangling and killing occurred because there have been contrasting reports. Some state she was killed in the field, while some mention it was done in his maternal uncle’s place.

To conceal her identity, the duo cut her body into six parts, packed them in a polythene bag, and threw them into the well, Police said. They also threw her head and weapons into a pond six kilometers away.

Police have recovered a sharp-edged weapon, a pistol, and a cartridge in the case so far. However, Sarvesh, Pramila, Suman, Kalawati, Manju, Rajaram, and Sheela, all of whom allegedly assisted Yadav in the crime, are still on the loose.

They are accused of aiding the alleged killers and sheltering them. Police have announced a cash reward of 25,000 INR on Sarvesh.
